1998 Montana Gambling Study, March 2004 - Video gambling machines proliferated across the state during the 1990’s, transforming most restaurants and pubs with liquor licenses into “casinos.” The transformation also decorated the state’s main streets with pawn shops and more than doubled the gambling addiction rate in the state.
