CADCA's mission is to build and strengthen the capacity of community coalitions to create safe, healthy and drug-free communities. The organization supports its members with technical assistance and training, public policy, media strategies and marketing programs, conferences and special events.

CADCA’s Support 21 Community ToolkitThe Amethyst Initiative, which seeks to revisit the debate on the legal drinking age and encourages lawmakers to lower it, generated media coverage and sparked a public debate on the merits of lowering the drinking age from 21 to 18. Leadership to Keep Children Alcohol FreeAn initiative of a unique coalition of agencies and organizations to prevent the use of alcohol by children ages 9 to 15. It is the only national effort that focuses on alcohol use in this age group.
Center on Alcohol Marketing and Youth (CAMY) at Georgetown UniversityCAMY monitors the marketing practices of the alcohol industry to focus attention and action on industry practices that jeopardize the health and safety of America's youth.
